A Time and a Place

These two bodies of work are being presented, here at Brickbottom, for the first time. Life is complicated and layered. My work is layered. What initially appears, isn't the whole story in life or in my work. Hunting for the meaning in life takes many twists and turns. The quest is not lonely. But, alone. Once there, a dialogue begins.

A PLACE and A TIME incorporate the desired, evocative mood, focusing on clarity of line. I'm interested in form and in pushing its boundaries. As you, I'm affected by the times, our environment - political, social, environmental and economic. Our lives have been turned on end. Much like a painter uses his brush, I use my camera. As a writer uses her skill of observation and choice of words, I visually present my "stories." All incorporate tools, achieving something greater than what initially appears before the eyes.

A PLACE and A TIME's contemporary being further incorporates the ground from which a progressively abstract and untraditional expression can evolve into something else.
